With roots firmly planted in soul and R&B, LeRoy Bell has a vivid history as half of the youthful songwriting team Bell and James, the duo that penned hits for major recording artists including Sir Elton John. Today’s LeRoy Bell (with his Only Friends Terry Morgan on bass and Davis Martin on drums) has gained recognition and acceptance as a performer playing out on the contemporary music scene with the likes of Sheryl Crow, B.B. King, Leon Russell, Van Morrison and others.

“A Change is Coming” takes a cue from Bell’s roots with the soul and R&B styles incorporated into the song. He sees the problems of a troubled world and sings about them and this song speaks to many important issues with rhythm, melody and passion.”
